I second the calls to not use the onboard LAN, as mine caused a slightly-noticable high-pitched sound whenever it was active. I was running prime 95, and I couldn’t even get 1kilobit per second on my megabit ethernet integrated card.

This would be ideal for efhernet since I have a video card of my own I’d like to use anyway. I really dont see what I’d gain by going Ethernet, possibly lower pings?

I saw a couple of benchmarks comparing the X-X and X, and for the most part they were very similar the X taking the lead always, but not by much. What is your OS?
