The Church Choir provides music ministry principally at the 11:00am Sunday liturgy, church holy days and other special occasions. Who are the music ministers and how do I join the music ministry? You may be surprised to find out that you already are a member of the music ministry. The most important music ministry is done by the assembly at prayer during sacramental celebrations, most importantly at the Sunday Eucharist.
It is our most important role as the ministers of music to support the singing and worship of the congregation. Such a wondrous ministry requires many gifts of talent, time and treasure. Through the loyal stewardship of our generous community we strive to put our parish’s many gifts to work so that our most important work may be made possible; our worship as the Body of Christ.
As the Body of Christ, we are many members, all needing one another to function. So it is with the ministry of music. Many types of gifts and talents are needed to make the work of our ministry fruitful. The mission of the Music Ministry at Holy Faith is to help each and every member in the parish understand their role in worship and to engage all fully through service and participation.
We invite you to prayerfully reflect on your role in the music ministry. Although we have been abundantly blessed by the dedication of our ministers we are still constantly in need of voices of all ages to participate in the ministry of music. You may want to fill out a form below or to contact us for more information. There are many ways to explore participation; joining a choir, becoming a cantor, playing an instrument or helping with support services.
We invite you also to take time to get to know and take pride in what your gifts of stewardship have made possible. The special role of the choir, cantors, instrumentalists and directors is to support the song of the assembly. Holy Faith is very blessed with many wonderful ministers who have been called to serve in this role. We are thankful for their dedication and proud of their service to our community.
